Stylist were recently joined for a lunchtime masterclass with Rachel Vosper, candle chandler and founder of her own London candle boutique.

Rachel has over 16 years’ experience in the candle making industry, and has designed and created beautiful candle collections for an array of high-end boutiques and stores in the UK, including Liberty, The Cross and Coco Ribbon, and on an international level, to bespoke boutiques in the Caribbean, LA and Jeddah.
Originally based in the Caribbean, Rachel first set up and ran her company from Barbados. From here Rachel re-located to Devon, and has successfully run her business designing and creating collections from her studio here ever since. Private clients have included US presidents and international dignitaries, actors, models and socialites as well as collaborations with brands such as Laurent Perrier, Condé Nast and the Orange Prize For Fiction Awards.
Through a demand for her bespoke and luxurious candles, Rachel decided to open a boutique in the heart of London. With many of her clients London based, Rachel felt that a boutique would offer a great platform to showcase her unique trade and products from and where she could create a scented haven to share her creative skills.
The boutique houses a candle collection which has been designed and made exclusively by Rachel and her team; this will be ever changing throughout the season and see new and inspiring designs and scents frequently added.
As well as retailing bespoke and luxury candles, Rachel Vosper also offers bespoke candle making courses run from the workshop area at the back of the boutique.
