The innovation agency founder answers your questions

We were recently joined for a lunchtime masterclass with Natasha Chetiyawardana, co-founder of innovation company Bow & Arrow.

Natasha graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2002 and was named Designer of the Year at New Designers (out of over 4000 design graduates from around the UK) .

In 2003, she set up a lighting collective and won the One Year On award and was shortlisted for the Oxo Peugeot Design Award. Her work was exhibited internationally in Seoul, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Cologne, New York and Valencia.

In the same year, she moved to New York. In the USA, she worked at a number of innovation firms including Fahrenheit 212, Blue Marlin, Pearlfisher, Clark McDowall and Laird + Partners where she worked with clients such as Pepsi, Coca Cola, Nestle, Mars and Unilever.

She then joined TODA in 2007 as Design Director to manage their innovation work with Johnson & Johnson. She is a visiting instructor at Central Saint Martins London and Pratt Institute, and co-created the innovation syllabus for the latter.

Natasha was persuaded to meet Bow and Arrow co-founder Ben Slater in New York. A year later, the pair founded their agency, Bow & Arrow. Bow & Arrow creates fresh products, services and propositions that drive business growth and works with clients from Google and Cadbury to HP and Carphone Warehouse.
