''Susanna Dinnage, GM of Discovery Networks UK, recently joined Stylist for our weekly Lunchtime Masterclass. Susanna is responsible for overseeing the network and is leading the launch of its new high-profile entertainment channel, TLC.

As General Manager, Susanna is responsible for the day-to-day running of Discovery Networks UK and Ireland and the channels that are viewed by nearly 12million people weekly.

As a teenager, Susanna excelled in languages and studied French at the University of Kent. However, her passion for all things TV led her to pursue a job in research and she landed a role at upcoming channel MTV, which she helped launch. Susanna became responsible for MTV'S audience research and travelled Europe to understand what unites and divides the teenagers of our neighbouring countries.

She later moved to Channel 5, where she was again part of the launch team. Susanna worked her way from research through strategy to scheduling over 10 years, fulfilling the role of Director of Schedules by the time she left.

In 2009, she joined Discovery - the biggest non-fiction media company in the world - to help set up a new Research and Scheduling initiative for UK and Ireland. A year later she was promoted to the role of General Manager.

Susanna is currently leading the launch of Discovery’s high-profile entertainment channel, TLC, which exclusively premiere hit US shows such as Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and will be fronted by UK and global stars including Lisa Snowdon, Holly Valance and Dawn O’Porter.

TLC will make its UK debut on 30 April at 8pm.
