We’re only 18 months into Stylist Network, our flagship business events, but like proud parents, we’re already toasting the launch of dozens of new businesses that have been created as a result. Our six events so far have offered advice and encouragement to 1,250 people. We speak to three who have made their business dreams happen.

“I attended ‘Become a food entrepreneur’ in June this year, where I met Cheryl Payne of HSBC. The support I have received from her has spurred me on. I launched the co-deal website in September. We have just made our first sales and have over 20 suppliers.”

“I remember vividly when I had the lightbulb moment about my business, as I walked away from Stylist’s ‘Confidence: the final frontier’ at Claridge’s in July 2010. Meeting other aspiring entrepreneurs made me realise what a market there was for my skills, and I started my business this September.”

“After Stylist’s ‘Confidence’ event, I wrote a business plan as the speakers advised. Once I did, things that had appeared difficult seemed achievable. I launched my business on 6 October this year after quitting my job.”
