These five IT workers show true dedication to their profession – by stripping to their underwear to bring attention to the need for more women in technology.
This photo is just a small part of the ‘Be Bold’ campaign, created by Intercept IT and online lingerie emporium Figleaves. The campaign aims to address the worrying lack of women working in the Science, Engineering and Technology fields (only 12.3% of all employees according to recent statistics) by encouraging women to ‘Be Bold’ and try a male-dominated profession.
“Even though it’s 2011 and we rely more heavily on IT than ever, women working in technology are still a rare breed.” says Sara Newman, Head of Service Operations at Intercept IT. “Being a woman in IT, you can stand out like a sore thumb in certain circumstances!”
The five women, all employees of Intercept IT, posed in some of Figleaves' latest styles for the campaign, and were treated to a consultation from the sites’ lingerie experts for their efforts – learning how to buy the right style and size for themselves.
