I Want That Room

To say that Atlantis, The Palm resort in Dubai is lavish would be an understatement. In a town packed with opulent and outlandish hotels, this marine-themed spread is in a realm of its own. For a start, it's built on its own artificial island and the design of it is weaved into a 42-acre water park that houses 65,000 marine animals.

And you can bag a front row seat to this glorious sea world with a stay in one of the Atlantis' two underwater suites, Poseidon and Neptune. Built underground, these allow you to descend into your own private ocean paradise, with giant windows that lead directly onto the water park. So you can sleep with the fishes (in a good way) and wake up to the soothing sight of a giant manta ray floating by...
