I Want That Room

Welcome to I Want That Room, Stylist's edit of the travel industry's most covetable suites. Each week, we'll be indulging our voyeuristic side with a look inside beautifully designed rooms from luxury boltholes the world over; the kind of places we'd book in an instant, were we globe-trotting millionaires.

To kick things off this week, we're going behind the impressively embossed entrance lift of The Penthouse Suite at 45 Park Lane. With a wrap-around balcony offering panoramic views over London's Hyde Park and a private oval dining room to entertain your guests (naturally), this sumptuous abode from the Dorchester Collection is all about understated bling.

The interior design is the work of architect Thierry Despont and blends contemporary maroon hues with an Art Deco, Great Gatsby-style feel. And from this November, guests staying here can trial ride the Rolls-Royce’s newest model, Wraith, for free - just for the fun of it. We're sold.

Take a look inside the suite by clicking on an image below and tell us about your favourite hotel rooms on Twitter or in the comments section.
