The best outdoor cinemas in the UK to visit this summer

One of the best ways to pass the time during the winter is to go to the cinema (it's warm, there's no rain, and there are lots of snacks). But during the summer we feel a little guilty about popping off to the flicks when there's the glorious outdoors to be enjoying.

But thankfully, in this day and age, there are wonderful things called open-air cinemas. Even better, many clever people have organised screenings in beautiful surroundings which essentially means you can enjoy the best of both worlds during the warmer months.

So instead of shivering away in a darkened cinema room, you can watch one of your favourite films, while in a park, a castle or a stately home. Here we've picked the best places to watch some of your favourite films this summer. We've even noted where you can still book (they sell out fast) and which films you'll love the most.

Now all you need to do is book the tickets and get choosing your snacks.
