A drop of French luxury

Whether we’re celebrating a birthday, a Friday night out, a good day in the office or a picnic in the Loire Valley, we like to do it with a cocktail. You don’t need a reason. But you do need the right ingredients – and a special one is Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur.

This infusion of the world’s finest red and black raspberries, Madagascan vanilla and XO cognac adds a delicious, fruit flavour and a touch of French luxury to upgrade any champagne or sparkling wine, or to create an opulent cocktail. Chambord was inspired by a luxurious raspberry liqueur that – according to legend – was produced for King Louis XIV during his visit to Château Chambord in the 17th century.

Today, Chambord continues to inspire cocktail creations around the world from its home two hours south of Paris. In the middle of this lush paradise, in the grounds of Château de la Sistière, nestled in Loire Valley’s Cour-Cheverny, the one-of-a-kind flavour of Chambord is crafted using a unique process that unites natural ingredients to give this liqueur its exceptional level of complexities, flavours and aroma.

The only way to truly appreciate it is to try it for yourself. Simply add some to a glass of fizz or use it in your favourite cocktail, and you’ll soon find that it becomes one of your shopping list staples.

Need inspiration? Here are three delicious cocktails that Stylist readers enjoyed during our trip to Château de Jalesnes in the Loire Valley as we were creating this issue. They’re easy to prepare so you can make them yourself. For any reason you like.
