Desperate for more ‘me time?’ As part of their Change Your Life In An Hour initiative Scottish Widows have conducted a nationwide survey* to determine how we spend, waste and think about our time and discovered that 22% of us would choose to spend more time to ourselves if we were magically given an extra hour in the day.
Despite feeling busy and stressed we’re wasting around 21 days a year on things we grudgingly admit are a waste (selfie takers, social media snoopers and the Instagram obsessed - we're looking at you!)
To help give us back that much loved 'me time' Scottish Widows have partnered with personal coach Dr. Sally Ann Law and Stylist & Emerald Street during our Christmas All Wrapped Up campaign to provide two readers with their own one-on-one coaching session.
Dr. Sally Ann advises: "We know we can never get back the time we lose so we need to think carefully about how we spend our most precious commodity. Taking selfies and checking others' Facebook pages is fun now, but might not provide lasting happiness, with a little coaching you can put measures in place to help make the most of your time and make space for more rejuvenating ‘me time’!”
If you’re interested in making this ‘me time’ last into retirement, visit Change Your Life in an Hour to find out more.
*Research carried out by Opinium, on behalf of Scottish Widows, between 5 and 7 October 2016 amongst a total sample of 2,000 nationally representative adults aged 18+.
