Whether you’re heading to Manchester Pride, Lost Village or Notting Hill Carnival, you need to try one of these afro hair styles

Ah, the joy of festival season. It’s loved for various reasons but mostly because it’s a time when, not only can you throw glitter around with childish abandon, but it can also be used as a legitimate excuse to experiment and switch-up your usual hair and make-up looks. Because, after all, if you can’t go crazy while you’re (barely) sleeping in the middle of a field, when can you?

That’s why we’ve pulled together a few of our favourite styles specifically for afro hair that’ll work at whatever festival you’re heading to this bank holiday. Don’t worry, though: we’re not talking flower crowns, headbands or bows. Instead, we’ve covered everything from a half up-do with braids and a top knot, bantu knots and a faux undercut, and we’ve made sure the styles will see you through the entire long weekend.

So whether you’re heading to Manchester Pride, Notting Hill Carnival in London, Lost Village festival in Lincolnshire, or somewhere else, watch the video above, dig out some glitter and go wild.
