& Other Stories has been a staple for fashion separates since it came to the UK five years ago. Now with their new hair care launch, they’ll be taking over not only your wardrobe, but your bathroom shelves too…

Walking into the office on any given day you can be sure that someone (*90% of the staff) will be parading around in the cool attire of & Other Stories.

Their swishy floral-print midi skirts, ruffled satin blouses and statement hoop earrings make the H&M sister brand the most-addictive US import since Diet Coke.

And with many a lunch break spent trying to justify our three-figure shopping baskets with “but we can get SO many outfits out of it”, you can imagine the beauty desk’s elation when we found out that the popular brand has added to their stylish repertoire with a new offering for us haircare fanatics.

Inspired by the West Coast’s biggest hair trends, the brand has now created their own haircare line.

Infused with luxury fragrances formulated by perfumer Jerome Epinette and presented in shelfie-worthy packaging, the line was developed in collaboration with celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath to target three areas of concern with its Restore, Fullness and Universal ranges.

We’ve been going crazy over the Beyoncé-level of volume we get from the line’s Fullness range.

It blends pea extract, loquat leaf and seaweed to add bounce and body to the hair, while moisturising at the same time. And the sweet, nutty scent with notes of praline and pistachio has got us almost casting aside our Jo Malone. Almost.

Fullness Dry Shampoo, £7

But our top pick from this range? It has to be the Dry Shampoo, £7, simply because it is actual magic. Not only does it volumise (obviously) and nix the grease (standard), it’s also transparent. So dark-haired girls can make our hair wash last another day and avoid the risk of a powdery white overcast on our roots.

And with the UK’s summer heatwave having the same drying effect on our hair as it has on our back gardens, we also can’t enough of the Restore range.

It uses coconut, jojoba and avocado oils in its products to care for dry and damaged hair and its two masks have jumped to the top of our (suddenly overflowing) & Other Stories wish list.

Restore Leave-In Mask, £12

Our ends have definitely suffered in the recent desert-like conditions, so we were pleased to hear that the Intensive Mask, £12, uses vegetable keratin to hydrate the hair in just 10 minutes. Personally, we like to leave it in while we snooze so it can really do its thing.

Or for a quick post-shower treatment, the Leave-In Mask, £12, does the trick as it works on both wet and dry hair. No rinsing needed.

As lifesaving as the Restore range is, we’re also loving the Universal range because it has something for everyone.

Universal Beach Spray, £10

We’re getting major Cali-girl vibes with the Beach Spray, £10, that’s given us texturised waves, and the Blowout Lotion, £12, leaves our hair sporting a salon-worthy reflection.

Oh and did we mention it smells like summer in a bottle? Mandarin, coconut water and sunny musks take us straight to the beaches of Malibu. No need for an air fare.

Plus the pink packaging looks right at home next to our Glossier staples.

The line is available now in-store and online and is suitable for all hair types, including coloured and chemically-treated.

If you need us, you know where we’ll be.
