You know an eyeshadow primer’s a winner when it can withstand dance routines as sassy as Beyonce’s. NARS Smudge-Proof Eye Primer Base, £20, is the Run the World singer’s pre-show weapon. It’s a silicone-based primer that’s won countless awards for its superior melt-proofing powers and ability to make a shadow pop.

Her make-up artist Sir John even trusted the product to keep her eyes on lockdown for her Coachella performance earlier this year. And just when we thought we couldn’t love the super-buy any more, the brains over at NARS have only gone and upgraded it.

But fellow devotees, fear not, the tried-and-tested formula – that made an appearance at the Rodarte SS19 show – hasn’t changed. There are now four tints joining the translucent original – a spectrum of shades that are particularly genius if you’re prone to uneven skin tone or redness.
