With spring imminent, it’s time to get out of our dark and gloomy winter-hues rut and embrace a brighter nail shade. Now, we know what you’re thinking: Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. But I’m pleased to report it’s neither floral nor pastel. A traditional springtime nail shade, this is not.

The unlikely nail colour we’re expecting to see everywhere is taking inspiration from our must-have wardrobe essential. That’s right, denim nails are going to be the It mani shade for the season.

It’s a far cry from the minimalist ‘your nails but better’ soap manicure we’ve seen across social media or the chic jade-green shade that was trending at the beginning of this year.

The hue suits all skin tones and has even been approved by Selena Gomez, who was seen sporting a dark denim nail shade in the music video for her song Call Me When You Break Up. Need we say more?
