RiRi’s launching 50 concealers and 8 powders to complete her ground-breaking #FentyFace collection.
It was way back in September 2017 when Rihanna first launched her long-awaited make-up range, Fenty Beauty. The entire collection was an instant global hit, so it’s no wonder it made $72m in its first month alone, and then went on to become Harvey Nichols’ biggest ever beauty launch.
Going by the fact the retailer sold one foundation every minute in that month, it’s fair to say Pro Filt’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (£26) was an instant hit with just about everybody who tried it. Available in 40 shades that Rihanna and Fenty worked tirelessly on, the launch also opened up a much-needed conversation around inclusivity within the industry, forcing beauty brands to sit up, listen and cater for every skin tone.
It’s been an incredible, non-stop 16 months since Fenty’s launch thanks to various pop-up shops around the world and a selection of limited edition products and shades. And now Rihanna is kicking off 2019 with an even bigger bang – and who knew that was possible? Not only will there be 10 new shades of foundation joining the existing line-up, but the brand is also adding concealer and powder.
Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer, £19 is a creamy, full-coverage crease-proof liquid formula that will brighten under eyes, disguise blemishes and dark spots, and will help reduce redness. Like the foundation, it has a soft matte finish and is available in 50 shades.
To complete the complexion collection, there’s a new superfine, light-as-air Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder, £24 launching. The formula is truly translucent, meaning eight shades will work across all skin tones.
