Fox fur bikini wax angers PETA

You’ve heard of ‘vajazzling’, but a new beauty service has taken embellishment of ones’ ‘nether regions’ to a whole new level.

New York-based spa chain Completely Bare is offering a ‘Foxy Bikini Wax’, which involves applying fox fur to the bikini area following a laser or wax treatment. Lasting a minimum of three days, this ‘all natural’ treatment leaves the wearer looking like this.

Now we don't know who is getting these treatments, but the service is clearly popular – there’s even a ‘Carnivale’ Bikini wax, which involves applying real feathers down there. Cindy Barshop, the owner of the salon (and former star of the US TV show Real Housewives of New York City), told today.com "People are loving the concept, it is so over the top”.

Naturally, the use of real fox fur has angered PETA President Ingrid Newkirk, who said "It's outright sleazy, and it's downright cruel to kill an animal to decorate your privates".

What to you think of this treatment - a step too far? Let us know in the comments below.
