From Ariel to Jasmine, Disney Princesses re-imagined without make-up

An illustrator has taken a proverbial make-up wipe and removed the eyeshadow, blush and lipstick from the faces of iconic Disney princesses.

American designer and writer, Loryn Brantz, has re-imagined The Little Mermaid's Ariel, Beauty and the Beast's Belle, Aladdin's Jasmine and more as make-up free, and it makes a rather beautiful and fresh faced change.

Brantz has also imagined Frozen's Princess Elsa without her smoky amethyst eye-shadow, and Snow White without her bold crimson lips.

“Any artwork that challenges the way the media portrays beauty standards to young girls is worth doing,” says the Emmy award winning illustrator, who recently explained her reasons behind creating the new images to E! News.

Take a look at her artwork, below, and see more at Buzzfeed.
