The ghd Oracle has been in development for seven years - and has had over £5.2m worth of investment. Here’s the lowdown.
Billed as ‘the world’s first professional tool that creates endless curls in one simple stroke’, the Oracle styler has been developed over seven years and has had an incredible £5.2m worth of investment.
The tool, which – at first glance looks like a pair of straighteners – has a deep ‘U’ shape which is how the curl is created. It also combines the power of heat (to curl the hair) and the effect of cooling (which sets it in place) to create curls in a single stroke that promise to last the distance.
Speaking about the launch, ghd’s global ambassador Adam Reed, says, “So many of my clients struggle to curl their hair but with this new tool, curling is as easy as straightening. It’s a game-changer – for the first time ever you can create the perfect curl in one easy glide.”
Oracle has ghd’s patented curl-zone technology, which is a combination of a unique shape, high speed ceramic heaters and a fast action cooling system. It also has four ceramic heater plates that heat the hair to the optimum styling temperature (185C), a unique ‘U’ shape that creates the perfect curl on all hair types, and it also has the ability to create different finishes depending on the angle and direction it’s glided through hair.
ghd Oracle, £175, launches on 16 May and will be available in Rush salons across the country. There are comprehensive tutorials online, but 1-2-1 appointments will be available in all salons which will provide a complimentary tutorial to teach customers how to use the tool properly and how to create all the different styles available.
We’ll see you in the queue.
