With a shade range including sheer pink, lilac, smoky green, copper red and blueish opalescent glimmers, there’s a Lidstar colour for every skintone. Using the Oscars red carpet as its billboard, stars such as best directer nominee Greta Grewig, best supporting actress winner Allison Janney, Salma Hayek, Tiffany Haddish, Maya Rudolph and Tracee Ellis Ross showcased the new product and the many ways of wearing it.

The creamy formula is described by Glossier as “less shadow, more glow” and is applied using a doe-foot applicator for precision.

Greta Gerwig, only the fifth woman ever to be nominated for best director (for her debut film Lady Bird), paired a bold lip with a dramatic eye. Make-up artist Jenn Streicher created an old Hollywood glamour look that was still fresh and modern by applying Lidstar in three shades: the iridescent pink Moon all over the eye, Slip to the outer corners and Cub along the lash line using a thin brush.

I, Tonya star Allison Janney’s winning look was created by make-up artist Collier Strong, who blended together Lidstar in Moon and Fawn (a cool, smoky taupe) for a defined, dramatic eye.
