Hair SPF is a legitimate thing - and here’s why it should be part of your beauty arsenal during the hot weather

As the heatwave marches on, you’re no doubt feeling virtuous for slathering SPF50 on your face and body, but what about your hair? “It can burn, just like skin does - except you can’t feel it,” says Anabel Kingsley, trichologist at Philip Kingsley. “UV rays act in a similar way to bleach: they degrade its protein structure, leaving strands weaker and more vulnerable to breakage and further damage,” she adds.
