Evans thinks this desire for nostalgia – and shorter hair being a nod to that – is a direct rebellion against the necessities of the pandemic, when we were forced to keep our hair long because hairdressers were shut.

“Whenever there is any unrest in the world over the decade people have resisted by being more individualistic and have fought against generic beauty standards. People want to stand out, which I love, and this makes me so excited to cut hair again,” she says.

While the cut can suit a variety of hair textures, depending on your hair type, the pullet may vary on how easy it is to style. “Depending on hair texture, it can be very low maintenance, but if hair needs a little more work, it can take longer to style. Products are key in this: if you want to wear it with movement or more straight, this can be supported with the right products to make your life easier,” says Evans.
