“My beauty routine is a full-time job. When you’re an influencer or a digital expert, whether we like it or not, how we present ourselves is a fundamental part of how we make our money, particularly if you’re ‘selling’ skin. I definitely enjoy the fun of beauty treatments, but it’s taken to another level because of my job. If I didn’t spend this much, I’d say I wasn’t doing enough. I do my own Botox (it’s fine; the feeling is equivalent to popping a spot) but, having said that, injectable treatments I try to keep to a minimum because when you’re a doctor, it’s very easy to go overboard as the syringe is always right there. I’m very transparent with what I have done on my social media accounts because I strongly believe I have a responsibility not to sell people dreams and make people believe I was just born this way.
