Goddess – the Ariana Grande-inspired bath bomb - is now available in perfume form.
Last year, the internet went crazy when Lush announced the launch of the much-anticipated Goddess bath bomb.
The product was famously inspired by Ariana Grande’s God Is A Woman music video, in which the singer was seen in a bath of glistening pastel-coloured water. After watching the video, a fan then tweeted Lush asking for a bath bomb that would recreate that moment, and, encouraged by Grande herself, the brand gave the people exactly what they wanted.
That’s right: they launched Goddess.
According to the Lush website, the bath bomb boasts a ‘heavenly scent of jasmine, [which] absolute seduces you into lilac and silver waters, while the darkness of oudh and the richness of sandalwood keep you there, lingering a little longer. Precious ingredients for a true goddess, lifting your mind to a higher plane.’
No surprises, Goddess was an instant success. And now the brand are adding to the hype with five new additions to the range.
Along with the bath bomb, Goddess now comes in a traditional perfume spray (in two sizes, 30ml, £45 and 100ml, £89), a travel-friendly solid perfume, £9, a fragrance oil, £25, soap, £7.95 and a washcard, £2 – a new innovation and an eco-friendly, plastic-free alternative to bottled shower gel made with fresh apple pulp.
Lush isn’t just good at answering the internet’s prayers, either: they also do good for both the planet and for people. The Goddess range features a range of essential oils – including jasmine from Egypt, where its cultivation helps being new opportunities for both female empowerment and social support, and sandalwood from New Caledonia, which is sourced from wild but sustainably-managed trees.
So while you’re bathing, spritzing and washing in Goddess, know that you’re helping empower women while simultaneously encouraging much-needed trees to grow.
A good deed all round.
