Lush has added a new product to their shelves, and the Internet can’t praise it enough.

With one in the three of us struggling to slip off to the land of nod each night – whether it’s due to stress, anxiety or from not getting enough relaxation after work - a good night’s kip for most of us is never taken for granted.

Which is why the internet has been praising Lush’s new Twilight Body Spray as a sleeping aid.

Priced at £20, the body spray combines a blend of lavender, tonka and yland ylang for a sweet, soothing scent – and it seems to be helping people drift off.

Lush took to Instagram this week to share the new the vegan-friendly, cruelty-free spray with their followers, saying:

“Hey there, sleepy head! Snuggle down into lavender and tonka with Twilight Body Spray. Designed to relax and calm, this installs a tranquil vibe of malty, lavender goodness. It reminds us of a certain sleepy-time lotion!”

And the reviews are already glowing:

“This product works wonders,” one user posted.

“So good. [I] use this all the time and still have a full bottle,” another commented.

“This is amazing we spray our pillows each night and it’s so calming!,” another commented.

“This is a miracle in a bottle! [It] helps me unwind before drifting off and calms my body enough for a thorough night’s sleep… love the lotion just as much too!,” one user posted.

With some users even sharing their love for the new addition on Twitter.

“When sleeping is your favourite hobby but it’s a struggle getting there……lavender life,” one user posted.

And another user is trying the product out too.

“Only issue with working shift work is my sleep pattern is non-existent! Heard great things about these products, so fingers crossed,” they posted.

According to the National Sleep Foundation, lavender has been shown to “decrease heart rate and blood pressure, potentially putting you in a more relaxed state”. In one study, researchers monitored the brain waves of subjects at night and found that those who sniffed lavender before bed had more deep sleep and felt more vigorous in the morning.

And it’s not the first time Lush-lovers have praised a product from the brand for helping to soothe them to sleep. Earlier this year they launched Sleepy Body Lotion, which is infused with gentle oatmeal and calming lavender flower which cools and enriches the skin.
