Anyone who knows me will be well aware that I am a dry shampoo fiend. I love it in all its forms and I use it pretty much every day. I thought my love knew no bounds – and then I heard that Mac Cosmetics was launching a dry shampoo for lashes, and I won’t lie, I was equal parts intrigued and equal parts puzzled.

How would it work? Would it be a teeny-tiny can complete with a teeny-tiny aerosol designed to be sprayed onto lashes? Thankfully, the answer is no. Instead, it takes the form of what looks like a regular mascara tube. The magic, however, lies in the applicator wand: dubbed the ‘lash teaser brush’, it claims to gently comb and detangle lashes from root to tip, without tugging or pulling at them.
