It’s the first Monday in May, which can only mean one thing: it’s time for the Met Gala.

For 2024, the biggest fashion night of the year is being held in honour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, which is all about finding creative ways to reinvent historic garments that are now too delicate to be worn.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour welcomed this year’s co-chairs Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth to the prestigious fashion event, alongside a host of famous faces such as Naomi Campbell, Sydney Sweeney and Cailee Spaeny.

The dress code of The Garden Of Time which is based on a JG Ballard short story of the same name, was executed to perfection by all attendees. With bright blooms, new takes on the naked dress and gorgeous pieces from the archives of Chanel, Versace and McQueen, it showcased the beauty and wonder found in both the fashion and natural world.

To complement these stunning looks, the attendees sported popular beauty trends such as monochromatic make-up, water waves, a bold lip or bright eye-shadow to match the shade of their dress.
