From toasted coconut and cherry-berry red to cold brew brown and pumpkin spice orange, some of last season’s biggest hair colours were inspired by delicious food and drink - and the trend isn’t dye-ing down any time soon.

Mushroom blonde is set to be the shade of the summer, according to Pinterest, which reports a staggering 308% rise in searches on its site. As a result, Pinterest adds that searches around ‘platinum blonde’ - which has historically been a popular hair choice for summer - have decreased by 26%.
