This art-inspired nail how-to is taken from The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art, by Sharmadean Reid. To recreate this look you'll need a steady hand, and nail stripers/pens (try modelsownit.com and galaxynails.co.uk)
YOU WILL NEED
• White nail polish
• Red nail striper
• Blue nail striper
• Yellow nail striper
• Black nail-art pen
HOW TO
Step 1: Paint your nails with the white base colour. Allow to dry.
Step 2: Using your red striper, draw a large square outline on the left side of the nail, that takes up about a third of the nail area. Fill in the square with red.
Step 3: Take your blue striper and create a smaller blue triangular shape at the bottom of the nail that just touches the red square. Fill in with blue. Use your yellow striper to create a small yellow triangle at the tip of the nail, not quite touching the red square, and fill in with yellow.
Step 4: Once the colours are dry, use your black nail-art pen to draw straight lines between the red, yellow and blue shapes, so that they are all outined.
Step 5: To finish, add a small black outline under the yellow triangle and two small vertical lines under the red square.
