Dramatic red lips in a variety of arresting tones marched down the Paris catwalks. At Alexander McQueen, satin finish crimson lips were even more dramatic set against a barely there, pared-back complexion. While at Rocha, lips were matte, dark and deep. Lead make-up artist Lynsey Alexander lined lips first with Mac Ruby Woo Lip Pencil, £14, and layered Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Dance With Me, £18, painted on with a brush to ensure total precision. Finally Alexander dusted on Mac Basic Red Pigment, £16.50, for extra staying power and a a rich velvet like finish.
