Talking about the hair, Palau said, “[The fringe] gives it a rebellious look. And it’s funny, adding that small fringe on the girls changes their faces and they become different personalities. In a funny way, they look hard and soft. Sort of like an English tough girl.”

In fact, Palau added that the fringes reminded him of Jean Seburg, an American actress from the 50s and 60s.

Models with curly hair weren’t given a short fringe. Instead, Palau wet the hair so that the curls would shrink. “We just washed their hair, let it dry and it created that beautiful tight shape.” Additionally, six models had their hair cut into pixie crops.

Palau said, “It’s nice to have that variation. Every girl will have the headband to bring them all together.”

To compliment the look, make-up artist Pat McGrath created a gorgeous look that featured bleached brows, which were brushed up, while lashes were coated in thick layers of mascara.

Looks like 60s beauty is back in full swing.
