“Wearing mascara that contains SPF can only be a good thing,” says Min Jeong Kang, lash expert at Nails & Brows. “SPF will help protect the eyes from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays but that’s not all. It can also prevent the lashes from frazzling and drying out, which could inevitably lead to lash breakage otherwise.”

And no-one is going to say no to full, fluttery lashes…

As SPF-obsessives, we obviously couldn’t wait to give the mascara a go, but knowing that it was defending our fragile lashes from an onslaught of UV wasn’t the only convincing factor.

Just three swipes lent our super-straight lashes a flattering curl akin to a twenty-second press with an eyelash curler (just without the inevitable snagging, ouch) and the best part is that it didn’t flake or smudge until it was time to take it off at the end of the day. We used an oil-based eye make-up remover to dissolve all traces.
