We live in a world that is increasingly embracing the diversity in beauty, where it's ok to show off our individual traits rather than hide them under tonnes of make-up and clever Instagram filters.

And this couldn't be illustrated in a better way than with these striking portraits by award-winning photographer Brock Elbank, the man behind the beard exhibition at Somerset House.

The bold photos feature freckled models, of various ages and ethnicity, staring directly at the camera.

They are all the more breathtaking that the models seem to be naked, keeping the focus unashamedly on those beautiful freckles.

Mr Elbank said that at the heart of the project is the love/hate relationship people have with their freckles.

He said, “What I love about freckles are that most of the wearers hated them as children, probably got teased and wish they hadn’t got them. But as adults they grown to accept and some love them.

“Heavily freckled faces are beautiful, on both men and women. I’m simply aiming to capture and record some fantastic-looking human beings from all walks of life.”
