“I’m developing my own colour as we speak” – Victoria Beckham teases new beauty line

Her two collections with Estée Lauder were dizzyingly successful, selling out almost instantaneously. Good news if you missed out first time around – Victoria confirmed in an F interview today that she’ll be bringing out more beauty under her own brand.

In a Facebook Live hosted in honour of International Women’s Day, Victoria Beckham sat down with Facebook’s EMEA VP Nicola Mendelsohn to talk business, motherhood and women in the workplace. 

Aside from declaring she ‘couldn’t choose’ between wine and tequila (a girl after our own hearts), Victoria confirmed that there’s more beauty to come. When asked by Nicola about whether the success of her Estée Lauder collaboration had given her the beauty bug, Victoria replied, “I loved working with Estée Lauder, I mean, what amazing partners. I learned so much and it was huge success, and just like with my fashion line, I was very involved in all of it. I’m actually developing my own colour, skincare and fragrance as we speak. It’s going to be very scientific. I’m working with the best.””

We don’t know any more about when it might launch, or what the products might be, but ‘colour, skincare and fragrance’ is pretty expansive. 

Victoria’s iconic beauty look is comprised of glossy skin, smokey eyes and nude lips (some of the most popular items from her Estée Lauder collection were the Morning Aura Illuminating Crème, £72, Nude Spice Lipstick, £30, and the Eye Foils, £28 as well as the Eye Ink Mascara, £36), so we’re expecting her usual mix of high-octane glamour paired with more insouciant elements. Victoria (and David, for that matter) has been vocal about her love of Lancer skincare, the luxe range founded by LA dermatologist Howard Lancer MD, and his ‘The Method’ routine, so perhaps there’ll be influences there, too?

Only time will tell, so watch this space. Having made her mark on the fashion world and establishing her brand as beloved by editors and shoppers alike – no mean feat, considering the crowded landscape – VB’s clearly in the mood for a new challenge.
