The teaser trailer for Disney’s Christopher Robin has dropped and it looks as incredible as you’d imagine.
And now, one of literature’s most loved cuddly toy characters will be gracing our screens this summer: Winnie The Pooh.
The part-live-action and part-animation film, directed by Marc Forster, takes place in the 1940s. Picking up from when Christopher Robin returns from World War II, Robin comes across his bear (played by Jim Cummings), and the pair haven’t seen each other in a very long time.
Working at a company that sells luggage and living with his wife, Evelyn (played Hayley Atwell) and daughter, Robin finds himself in a moral dilemma in the teaser trailer. Torn between not going away for the weekend with his family and having to lay off staff, Robin heads to a park to think about it all, asking himself: “What to do? What to do?”
Out of nowhere his old friend Pooh appears saying, “Christopher Robin!”
Robin, who is understandably stressed, confesses to Pooh, “I’ve cracked.”
Pooh says, “I don’t see any cracks … maybe a few wrinkles.”
And now, we’re all crying.
Other characters from the original Winnie The Pooh book by A. A. Milne will also appear in the film – including Tigger (played by Chris O’Dowd), Owl (played by Toby Jones), Kanga (played by Sophie Okonedo), Piglet (played by Nick Mohammed) and Eyeore (played by Brad Garrett).
We can’t wait to go back to Hundred Acre Wood.
Christopher Robin hits cinemas across the UK on 3 August.
