"Mummy porn" purveyor EL James stunned the literary world with her hit-making Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, but the woman behind Ana and Christian's antics is going PG.
Mingling with the stars at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, James told the New York Post that her next book “won’t be nearly so raunchy - and I will probably write it under another name."
James, 50, has previously hinted at a move away from BDSM and towards a more traditional romance novel, describing her next works as "love stories I've got planned."
It won’t be nearly so raunchy
The 50-year-old mother-of-two from Brentford also happily discussed the highly anticipated film version of Fifty Shades, dismissing speculation that the lead roles have been cast and hinting that she may have a few surprises for fans when it comes to choosing the stars:
Alexandra Daddario, Kristen Stewart, Ryan Gosling and Jake Gyllenhaal are among the many, many stars linked to the upcoming Fifty Shades movie
"We don’t even have a filmmaker, so we are still a long way away from casting. I have some ideas...but it may not be who people expect.”
NYP sources claimed that agents were “lining up to meet James to pitch their actors.”
It's doubtful that James' next tome will generate quite as much interest - but is a simple, underwear-on tale of love more appealing? Tell us in the comment box below, or on Twitter
