Stylist Literary Festival: Finale event
Wednesday 30th June @ 18.00
Posted by Stylist Team for Stylist Literary Festival
To celebrate the Stylist Literary Festival, we threw an intimate closing party with some rather impressive authors at The Hoxton. Luckily for you, we filmed it.
Not only did we have Isy Suttie (author of Jane Is Trying) in conversation with Chibundu Onuzo (author of Sankofa) discussing how to bring humour to the page, but we also enjoyed poetry from the winner of the #MerkyBooks New Writers’ Prize Monika Radojevic (author of Teeth in the Back of my Neck) and the stars of the chart-topping The Receipts podcast discussed their honest, hilarious and audacious new book, Keep The Receipts.
But that’s not all… The one and only Annie Macmanus took to the stage for a talk with Stylist’s editor-in-chief Lisa Smosarski about her debut novel, Mother Mother.
With an impromptu (and breathtaking) song from Chibunu Onuzu, a reading of Monika Radojevic’s prize-winning poem, 23 And Me, and Annie Mac musing on the changes in her life which led to her writing her first book, it’s an unmissable event.

SUPPORTING INDEPENDENT BOOKSHOPS
Throughout the festival, we will be supporting Bookshop.org in their mission to help financially support independent bookshops.
If you’d like to purchase any of the author’s books, we ask that you do so through the Bookshop.org marketplace. We have collated a list for you so all you need to do is add to basket.
Don’t forget to select which bookshop you’d like to support from their map before browsing the festival list so your chosen bookseller will get the direct benefit of the sale.
