An impressive new infographic is allowing readers to test their reading speed and find out exactly how long it will take them to read various books.
For competitive and curious readers, it even compares your reading times to the national average, which is between 250 - 300 words per minute.
The interactive graphic starts by asking you to a read a paragraph of text and your natural pace. It then checks you have read the passage by asking three simple questions and presents your reading speed against a graph of an average reader.
Next, it asks for the amount of time per day you can realistically dedicate to reading a book and handily calculates the number of days you can expect to finish various books in, from bestsellers such as Game of Thrones to the classics such as Moby Dick.
Other books it shows you personal reading times of include the Harry Potter series, last year's hit novel The Goldfinch by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Donna Tartt and the recent Hollywood blockbuster The Fault in Our Stars.
For anyone who is hoping to boost the amount of pages they get through, the graphic recommends reading a tangible amount every day (whether it's as small as 10 minutes or an hour) until it becomes a habit and you can build up the duration.
The technology has been created by Blinkbox Books a service by Tesco which lets you browse and buy books on your Apple an Android tablets and smartphones.
