The much beloved fictional crime-solver Nancy Drew is set to be brought to life once again, as the star of a new CBS TV series called Drew

The series will re-imagine teenage Nancy as a 30-year-old detective solving modern day crimes and, most importantly, the producers have promised she will not be cast as a caucasian actress. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, President of CBS Entertainment Glenn Geller said, “She is diverse, that is the way she is written. [She will] not [be] Caucasian. I’d be open to any ethnicity."

Since she first appeared in children's books back in 1930, the super sleuth has been reborn in two TV series, five films and a string of computer games, all while selling over 80 million books worldwide.

To celebrate the news of the iconic character's latest reinvention, stylist.co.uk has pulled together our favourite Nancy Drew quotes for all times in life.
