It happens every year: December rolls around and, despite the ever-present Christmas jingles and mini-Santas, it still takes a while for us to start feeling properly Christmassy.

Christmas Carol Concert at Westminster Cathedral
Go along to an evening of beautiful choral music at Westminster Cathedral and you’ll also hear readings from famous faces including Made in Chelsea’s Ollie Locke, musician Cerys Matthews, and TV presenter Lloyd Griffith. And, if that wasn’t enough to get you into the festive spirit, there’ll be an after party in Victoria’s all-new mountain resort experience after the concert, where you can enjoy mulled wine, live music and more.

Caroling bottomless brunch
Bottomless brunch is a weekend staple no matter the season. So, come Christmas time (when there’s even more of an excuse to get merry) it would make sense that our favourite Saturday morning pastime receives a festive update. And Soane’s Kitchen in Ealing has done just that. For one day only The Big Sing gospel choir will be frequenting this delightful restaurant, treating diners to a mix of Christmas songs, from noon until 2pm.

Carols for Charity
Disability charity Scope will be commandeering the impressive acoustics of St Pancras New Church for some end-of-year fundraising in the form of their Carols at Christmas event. Backed by professional vocalists – including X Factor regulars, Enchorus Gospel Choir – attendees will be able to indulge their festive spirit with a mince pie (or three) and mulled wine underneath the church’s arches, whilst belting out classic hymns.
Carols and a good cause? We’re in.

Carols at The Ned
The Ned, which just so happens to be Soho House’s first venue which is open to non-members, is hosting a series of decadent Christmas caroling and dining experiences across the first three Sundays of December. Guests will be welcomed with drinks and a three course dinner menu in both the (millennial pink) Millie’s Lounge and Cecconi’s, for £75 per person. Alternatively you can enjoy drinks and nibbles in The Nickel Bar.
In the centre of the stunning ground floor there will be a live choir which will be performing a mix of modern and classic Christmas songs, with a live band and tons of atmosphere. Trust us: it’s really one you can’t afford to miss.

Yuletide live music nights at the Sky Garden
If you’ll settle for nothing less than the swankiest spot in town to be serenaded with Christmas songs, the Sky Garden’s live music series might be your idea of a perfect December evening. Set to kick off on the 4 December there’s a medley of nights happening featuring modern Christmas hits and live performances from gospel choirs.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home Christmas Carol Concert
What could possibly be more joy-inducing than combining the merriest time of the year with a whole host of furry friends? Animal lovers won’t be able to hold themselves back from coming along to this very special carol service, which promises that “plenty of canine friends will be there to welcome you on the night”.

Adfam’s Christmas Carol Concert
Adfam, a charity supporting families that have been affected by substance abuse, are holding a carol concert to raise money for their cause.
The annual affair is a lovely opportunity to see the beautiful interior of St Bride’s church and bellow out some traditional tunes. For £15 you can bag a ticket with an un-allocated seat or, for £30, you can bag a ticket for a prime spot in the centre of the church.

Candlelit Carols at Southwark Cathedral
Southwark Cathedral is holding a gorgeously traditional carol service in association with international development charity Feed the Minds on 11 December.
Gather with your nearest and dearest and sing along to classic Christmas carols, while enjoying performances from the mesmerising Quorum Chamber Choir.

Christmas Concert with Audience Carols at St Martin-in-the-Fields
If you’re looking for a grand setting to sing your carols, head to St Martin-in-the-Field in Trafalgar Square. This centrally located English Anglican church is putting on a night of ‘Christmas Celebration’ with a merry collection of carols and yuletide music sung by choral scholars and, of course, you!

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability’s Christmas Carols Concert at Holy Trinity Church
Holy Trinity Church will be hosting an evening of glorious Christmas music, candlelight, readings and carols on the 6 December. All proceeds go towards the Music Therapy service for the patients at the RHN living with brain injuries so make sure you get yourself booked in, as tickets cannot be bought on the night.
