The Sex Education star on her favourite things – from her go-to dip to what she’s reading now

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara
“This is the best mascara in the world. My mum used it so I’ve always bought it, and it’s amazing. I don’t think there’s any point in spending money on mascara – the cheap ones are just as brilliant.” £9.99, LookFantastic

Matilda Goad Lighting
“My sister is so good with decorating our flat: she comes home with all these incredible lamps and artworks she’s found in charity shops. But I really want to get a woven ceramic lamp base and a scalloped-edge shade by Matilda Goad. They’re so expensive, but they’re stunning.” From £360, Matilda Goad

Sabra Houmous Extra
“I’m obsessed with hummus. Obsessed. I never stop eating it. That Sabra one in the shallow dish. I love dips.” £1.99, Waitrose

The most effective skincare ingredient you’ve never heard of

If you’re a skincare buff, you probably know your way around a few different acids. But phytic acid is a lesser-known AHA that may not be on your radar – and it’s great for unclogging pores, brightening skin and evening out pigmentation.

Stylist’s beauty assistant Kiran Meeda rates Paula’s Choice Antioxidant Pore Purifier more than any other phytic acid product. “I’m a huge fan of lightweight liquids, and this is exactly that,” she says. “A bi-weekly essential in my evening skincare routine, it absorbs really easily without irritating my skin – and by the next morning, my pores look cleaner, my skin is less red and my spots have been dramatically downsized.” £31, Paula’s Choice

Your favourite Scandi high street brand just released a free cookbook

Scandinavia’s food scene is renowned the world over thanks to Denmark’s multi-award winning restaurant Noma. But while that level of fine dining is out of reach for most (especially at the moment), Scandi brand Arket has plenty of inspiration in the form of their Cookbook for Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter which they’ve just released as a free download

You’ll find 23 seasonal vegetarian recipes, including popular dishes from Arket’s in-store cafes, that reflect the simplicity and accessibility of New Nordic cuisine: think beet and pumpkin seed salad, celeriac and tarragon, and apple crumble pie. Even if we can’t get to Scandinavia right now, we still can enjoy all the Norse nibbles.
