Into CBD oil and plant-based beauty? You’ll love this new wellness collection

Few things cause a ripple of excitement across Team Stylist quite like a cult international brand landing on UK soil. So when we heard that John Lewis was launching an exclusive collaboration with minimalist Manhattan wellness emporium Standard Dose, we started drawing up a payday wishlist immediately.

The new collection, available now, looks to demystify the sometimes-baffling world of wellness with a curated edit of products from 17 brands that address six basic needs: sleep and stress, gut and immune health, and relief and anxiety. That means luxurious plant-based skincare and high-end CBD products plus an array of treats to boost body and mind, from facial massagers to natural digestive remedies. The products we’re bookmarking to get us happily and healthily through the long winter ahead? Grown Alchemist’s soothing Hydra Restore Cream Cleanser (£31), Natureofthings’ restorative Magnesium Bath Soak (£36) and Mineral’s Sleep Tincture (£80), a CBD oil to aid restful slumber. These abstract artworks are a minimalist’s dream (and surprisingly affordable)

Like many of us, Bei Jeen Low found herself with some time to kill over lockdown. And so the artist and designer from London decided to channel her energy into a new painting project. “My experience of lockdown was filled with everything from the mundane to the hilarious,” Low tells Stylist Loves. “This series is an ode to the many moments that became my life during the most unpredictable time.”

The result is a collection of abstract artworks featuring chalky, earthy shades teamed with pops of rich colours (think beige and raspberry pink, stone and forest green or ecru and ruby red), which Low sells through her art and design practice Studio B-Low. For unique, made-to-order paintings, the prices are remarkably accessible: each A3 work can be picked up for just £39.90.  “I frequently struggle to find beautiful pieces for my own home that are actually affordable, so I love creating art that I can offer at prices that are normally reserved for posters and prints,” says Low. Fans of her pared-back aesthetic (there are 11,000 of them on Instagram) should also check out the Shop page on Studio B-Low’s website, where the former interiors buyer curates an edit of pieces she’s either bought for her own home or has her eye on, from Swedish shell vases to woven seagrass baskets. Interior inspiration, sorted.
