| This new TV series tracing one woman’s sobriety journey is both smart and hilarious | How do you know when your desire for a drink turns into a problem? In Single Drunk Female – the new 10-episode comedy drama that quietly dropped on Disney+ this week after debuting in the US in January – the turning point is abundantly clear. After 20-something Samantha (Sofia Black-D’Elia) arrives drunk to her job as a writer in New York City yet again, she gets fired and ends up moving back to Boston to live with her overbearing mother, Carol (Ally Sheedy). What follows is her journey with sobriety, rediscovering who she is without drinking, nurturing the relationships that matter and figuring out what she really wants.
“While being hilariously funny, thanks to Samantha’s best friend Felicia who cracks sly jokes constantly, the awkward drama with Brit, her former-best-friend-who’s-marrying-her-ex, and her overall unhelpful sober sponsor Olivia, each 20-minute episode is grounded in the very raw situation of Samantha trying to get sober,” says Stylist Loves writer Kiran Meeda. “It’s an ongoing process with no right or wrong answer, so when the small wins do come along, they stick with you – even if Samantha isn’t sure she can fully celebrate them herself. Boasting a behind-the-scenes team who previously worked on Girls and Russian Doll, you know you’re in good hands as you witness Samantha’s journey from hot mess to emotional maturity.” Watch on Disney+ now

| Discover a world of futuristic, eco-conscious shopping at this innovative pop-up | Picture this: it’s the year 2052 and you stroll into one of your favourite shops – in the middle is a 2.3-metre tall robot that’s 3D-printing sunglasses made from plastic pollution, while on the shelves are buttery-soft handbags featuring pineapple leather, upcycled homewares made from landfill and jewellery created using recycled fishing nets, plus exclusive NFT artworks. Except it’s not 2052, but 2022 – because you can find this futuristic pop-up in Selfridges right now.
Taking over the department store’s ground floor Corner Shop space, Supermarket is described as a ‘creative playground’, aiming to spotlight innovations in eco-conscious consumerism and bring future-facing fashion, art and food to the forefront of our shopping habits. Centring around Parley for the Oceans’ impressive robot 3D printer which creates homeware, clothing and Clean Waves sunglasses (from £200), you’ll also find Touchless’ customisable 3D-printed handbags (from £100) and Mārīcī’s luxury ‘leather’ goods (from £650) which utilise Pinatex, aka upcycled pineapple plant fibres. Shoppers can also sample Air Company fragrances (£160) which help to eliminate CO2 from the earth, and try on British designer Zoe Sherwood’s sculptural jewellery made from recycled fishing nets (from £55) – all before refuelling with Dirtea’s nootropic mushroom-extract tea or tucking into a dish featuring Redefine’s innovative plant-based meat. The future of shopping is here. Until 30 April; 400 Oxford St, London, W1A
