This new film about finding your way in life is both heartwarming and heart-wrenching

You know those people who walk into your life and make a character-building impression you don’t forget easily? Apple TV+’s latest comedy drama Cha Cha Real Smooth – which won Sundance’s Audience Award in January and currently has an impressive Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 91% – delves into the nature of these complex, visceral connections through the lens of its protagonist Andrew (Cooper Raiff), an aimless 22-year-old graduate who’s trying to find his path in life. His dead-end job at a butcher and as the local bar mitzvah hype man are as sad as they sound, but then he meets Domino (Dakota Johnson) – a mother to a teenage daughter with autism – and we’re pulled into the world of their fascinating, confusing connection.

“Trying to find your footing in life is a story we can all relate to, but what elevates this film is Johnson’s excellent performance,” says Stylist Loves writer Kiran Meeda. “Where Andrew sees Domino strictly as a potential love interest, she opens his eyes to her reality as an older woman who makes sacrifices for her daughter and fiancé, deals with depression, acts on impulse but ultimately, somehow, knows what she wants. Will-they-won’t-they isn’t the point of this story, but you’ll love the rollercoaster ride of their relationship.” Watch on Apple TV+ now

You’re Going To Love: Katya
In the latest of our series focusing on up-and-coming independent brands with female and non-binary founders, allow us to introduce you to Katya

What is it? Launched in February, Katya is a London-based accessories label offering design-led yet affordable hair clips and claws that are far from boring.

Who’s behind it? Stylist Kate Iorga, who has worked with singers Zara Larsson and Rina Sawayama and brands such as Net-a-Porter and Byredo, and is now channelling her love of hair accessories into a brand that elevates the humble clip.

Why you’ll love it: Whether you’re accessorising for a wedding or a day in the office, Katya’s crystal-embellished hair clips and claws are guaranteed to make a statement. “I wanted to create a product that was glamorous and elegant, yet affordable,” Iorga tells Stylist Loves. “I felt that there was a gap in the market to create a brand that championed the humble accessory – which is so often a second thought.” The initial small-batch collection comprises of two styles – the Crystal Teardrop Clip and the Crystal Rose Claw – with new pieces and collaborations on the horizon. Promising to add some modern glam to your look, the designs are available in six colours, from Miss Piggy Pink to Denim Blue (a favourite of Iorga’s for summer). With famous faces such as Bella Hadid and Edie Campbell being fans of the Crystal Rose claws, we suggest getting on board sooner rather than later. From £24; katya.world
