What’s The Blackening about?

When a group of Black friends reunite for a Juneteenth weekend getaway, it’s not long before they realise that they’re trapped in a remote cabin with a masked serial killer. And a masked serial killer with intensely Jigsaw-esque vibes, no less.

“Forced to play by his rules, the friends soon realise this ain’t no motherfuckin’ game,” promises the synopsis.

Will the friends be able to pit their street smarts and knowledge of horror movies against the murderer and stay alive? Only time will tell, quite frankly… but, honestly, it doesn’t look good for at least 60% of the group. At least.
