If you love woman-led psychological thrillers then we have some excellent news for you: Apple TV+ has announced it’s working on a new limited series, Imperfect Women, where a crime shatters the lives and decades-long friendships of three women.

Based on Araminta Hall’s novel, Imperfect Women is packed with suspense and drama and explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal and the decisions we make that ultimately alter our lives forever. Mysterious, right? Well, here’s everything we know so far about the series.

**What is the plot of Imperfect Women?**

As the series is an adaptation of the book, we can only assume that it’ll follow a similar story. Nancy Hennessy is murdered, leaving behind her two best friends (Eleanor and Mary), her husband and daughter, and a secret lover whose identity she never revealed to anyone. From the outside, Nancy’s life was perfect. But, “as the investigation unravels, so does the truth about how even the closest relationships can change over time”, warns the synopsis.

Imperfect Women poses the question: how well do we really know our friends, or even ourselves?

**Who will star in Imperfect Women?**

As the project has only just been announced, not much is known about the casting apart from Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington being on board. It’s likely that the pair will play the two friends, Eleanor and Mary, but that’s just speculation at this point.

Speaking about the series, Moss said: “From the moment I received Araminta’s novel, I couldn’t put it down… I fell in love with it immediately. I’ve admired Kerry and her work as an actor and producer for many years, and have been looking for something to work with her on, and was so thrilled that she responded to the material when we sent it to her.”
