Crashing

Before she gave us the gift of Fleabag, Phoebe Waller-Bridge created Crashing in 2016. She is ukelele-playing Lulu, one of a group of young people living together as property guardians in a hospital.

There’s also Kate (Louise Ford), who’s determined everybody know that she’s not a squatter but is merely saving for her wedding to chef Anthony (Damien Moloney), Lulu’s childhood best friend; moody French artist Melody (Julie Dray); and shy Fred (Amit Shah). Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey stars as sex addict Sam, who at one point utters the killer line: “one should have to go around carrying this much grief, and this much semen”.

It’s dripping with sexual tension and darkly funny. And with lines like “I think my tampon just came out a bit”, Friends this most definitely isn’t.
