What is Land Of Women about?

Based on the novel of the same name by Sandra Barneda, the series is, as you might have guessed, all about women. Longoria plays Gala, who goes on the run to northern Spain after her husband implicates the family in financial dodgy dealings that put their lives in danger.

Joining her is her teenage daughter and her mother, and the three generations settle in the same wine town that Gala’s mother grew up in 50 years before – and promised she’d never return to. The women try to keep their previous identities secret and embrace new lives, but gossip travels fast in small towns, and it’s not long before family secrets threaten to spill over like a bottle of shaken-up cava.

“It’s this multi-generational show about these three women who really don’t know each other, even though it’s grandma, mother and daughter,” Longoria told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s like they’re strangers to each other and this adventure leads them back to each other.”
