What’s the plot of Everyone Else Burns series two?

Season one followed the Lewis family, members of the puritanical Order of the Divine Rod, as they got ready for the end of the world. And while the apocalypse proper never came, things did get turned upside down.

Rachel began to explore life outside the cult by getting a phone, starting her first relationship and applying for university – much to her parents’ chagrin. And wife Fiona was on a similar voyage of discovery, with her frowned-upon merch business thriving. David was frustrated that he wasn’t making the progress he wanted within the sect despite his best efforts, so thank goodness the rabidly devoted Aaron went through with his baptism.

And season two will see even more challenges to the Lewises’ commitment to The Order, particularly for Rachel, who is threatened by an arranged marriage. And as the distance between David and Fiona grows ever wider, can they reignite the spark? Aaron has his eye on the future and has grand plans to bring The Order into the modern day.
