Now, respected accountant and mum, Lexie, is dragged into this underworld as crime lord Cal Morris (Peter Mullan) tells her she has to find the missing money, that her husband failed to transfer before he died and threatens her children.

Alongside this, there are classic Line Of Duty-style interrogation scenes, as Lexie is questioned in the same way as Gates was in season one of the BBC drama. Equally, the police are suspicious that Jared is having an affair, similar to Gates’s affair with Jackie Laverty, despite being married with kids.

It’s these close similarities that create the same tense, gripping atmosphere that Line Of Duty is renowned for. The six-part series will keep you at the edge of your seat until the very end, but leaves enough loose ends to potentially be explored in a second season, so cross your fingers.
