What is The Horror Of Dolores Roach about?

Dolores Roach has been in prison for 16 long years. When she’s finally released, she returns to Washington Heights, but feels like a stranger in her newly gentrified surroundings.

It’s not long before, craving familiarity, she reunites with an old stoner friend, Luis, who lets her live and work as a masseuse in the basement under his empanada shop. When the promise of her newfound stability is quickly threatened, however, ‘Magic Hands’ Dolores is driven to shocking extremes to survive. Murderous extremes, y’know?

And, yes, you better believe that Luis decides to put this steady supply of fresh meat to good use in his shop upstairs…

Who stars in The Horror Of Dolores Roach?

Justina Machado (Six Feet Under, Jane The Virgin) takes the lead in this one as our eponymous Dolores, while Alejandro Hernandez (New Amsterdam) stars opposite her as Luis.

Kita Updike plays Nellie Morris, a young employee of the empanada shop, and K. Todd Freeman (A Series Of Unfortunate Events) plays Jeremiah, a local drug dealer who also works for Luis.
